Studio Diary #4 August 25-August 30th 2003

Monday 25th
Couldn't face going into the studio today.Don't know why but just couldn't.Stayed at home and went to bed instead and had a freaky dream about Marilyn Manson forcing me to drink pints of vodka.
We've been talking about doing something together he and I. The two twisted Manson sisters conjuring up some hell!!! I think he would be a riot to work with............funnily enough I met him at a dinner a few months back in NYC on the very day that my surgeon had announced I could finally speak after a week of total silence so needless to say I was a complete motor mouth but we hit it off hard.He's very sweet and funny and was extremely courteous and gentlemanly when I mistook him for a real Manson and asked him if he knew that his ancestors were vikings.He very politely reminded me that Manson wasn't his real name.Ha ha ha haaa......I am a complete BUFFOON.

Tuesday 26th
It's my birthday ....and for the first time in as long as I can remember,I feel really good about that.(My shrink really is that good.)
Thank you so much to everyone who sent me birthday cards and greetings and pressies and stuff.Man........ I wish you guys wouldn't spend your money on me.Save a whale or something.
Nevertheless.......sincere thanks.

Wednesday 27th.
One of my girlfriends called today in a terrible state because her computer was being inundated with anal pornography due to some crazy ass (exuse the pun) virus and besides the fact that it was coming (excuse the pun) unbidden, she couldn't find a way to make it stop !! Needless to say she is not in possession of a Mac computer.Oh well.........nevermind.Could have been worse.
Ironically enough................I just put down some vocals on a song today which was originally called "Bad Ass" . Is that a coincendence or what?!?!?!
Actually I'm changing the title to "Teach me Tonight" because otherwise I'd never be forgiven back home in Scotland because we call an "ass" an "arse" and I don't want to be selling out my homeland.

Thursday 28th
To address the numerous letters I've been sent on the subject:I've found the perfect answer for scars.Well................ physical ones anyway. The method sounds benign enough but I swear it works like a charm,as long as you are vigilant and keep at it for the suggested length of time. So anyway...... I've tried so many different things but Scar Healing Adhesive Strips by BANDAID are by far the best on the market.They're really convienient to use, (you can shower without ever having to remove them) and they're extremely effective.
Anyway........I digress...............I recorded a vocal on "Nobody Can Win" this afternoon before Butch got stuck into some weird ass editing that was so obsessive it drove me up the wall,gave me a headache and I had to go home.

Friday
Didn't go into the studio at all today.Had a full time of it with appointment after apointment and now I'm getting ready to go out with a bunch of my girlfriends to belatedly celebrate my birthday.

Oh I can't wait.........Team USA are to play Argentina tomorrow to secure the gold medal in the ??
